No violent death No statements made Only murder for gain How I want to believe in the sanctity of rest Eyes clouded with tears My fears grow in soil of doubt Must we acquiesce? Can we lay them to rest? No violent death No violent death I see no end Only ends beginning Lay them in the ground Spread the soil over their faces So they can't see Make them pay their debts No violent death May she rest in peace Rest in peace. (For BT, may she rest in power.)

You Do, I Do 06:05
Invite the words And they will emerge We strive for greater understanding Open eyes, open eyes, open You do, I do Invite the worst And it will emerge Strive to hide misunderstanding Closed eyes, closed minds, broken You do, I do This future has a fragile face Hold my tongue, my saving grace These thoughts I cannot replace Ignorance is forced to face itself Ignorance is forced to face Finding solace in sorrow Patterns of intention ring hollow We strive for any understanding Open eyes, open minds, open You do, I do.

Bone Chills 06:19
A city silhouetted From where I stand Feels like rebellion once again And all my friends are lost somewhere Down rabbit holes of their own How it chills me to the bone A cutting wind, a jacket thin Is still more than some have to sleep in We find ourselves entwined Perhaps by a mistake Perhaps you'd call it fate But either way, the result is the same Existence in perpetual chains A biting wind, a house of tin Is still more than some have to sleep in To you I'm drawn Like coming home To find you’re not really alone Dirty floors, a broken phone One voice speaks in monotone How it chills me to the bone A piercing wind on paper skin Is still more than some have to sleep in.

Recorded remotely in various apartments in the year 2020.

These are a few songs that have been in my head for a long time, and it felt necessary to give them a life of their own. They were a joy to write and continue to be a joy to play. This project was an immense source of comfort during a year that was full of collective chaos, reckoning and reflection. Thank you for listening.
